Vineyard Notes: Miravet Vineyard is farmed organically by Marcus & Liz Bokisch, who have in the past supplied us with Albarino from their Terra Alta Vineyard. Miravet is farther north & east, in the Lodi sub-AVA of Clements Hills. It sits on a hill of rocky volcanic soil & is planted to Grenache blanc, Mourvedre, Tempranillo & the 3 Spanish Cava varieties: Macabeu, Xarel-lo & Parellada.
Cellar Notes: We hand harvested approximately 3 tons & pressed whole clusters to stainless steel tank for settling. Then racked to 2 neutral barrels (22%) & another tank (78%) for fermentation. After 14 day fermentation, the 2 barrels were topped from the tank & the remaining wine was racked to more neutral barrels for 6 months aging. The wine was all blended together prior to bottling in April 2025.
Tasting Notes: Aromas of stone fruit - particularly apricot - butterscotch & crystalized ginger lead to a rich pineapple & citrus rind quality in the palate.
