Cellar Notes: 2023 might be our favorite vintage of Sacteaux yet! It brings together some of our favorite local vineyards in our interpretation of the classic Bordeaux blend, with a Northern California edge. We brought in Cabernet from Clarksburg specifically for this blend & then did extensive blending trials to find the right balance of elements. The finished wine then aged for a further 18 months in neutral oak before being bottled.
Tasting Notes: Very Bordeaux-like in character, with black currant, blackberry, graphite, menthol & espresso notes on the nose. The palate is bold & mouth-filling, with good structure & an easy-drinking acidity.
Label: This label is a tribute to Sacramento, blending the spirit of the city’s iconic lowrider culture with the timeless elegance of the Bordeaux countryside.
