Vineyard Notes: The Heringers have been farming in Clarksburg since 1868. In the early 1970’s they were one of the first to plant vineyards on their property, pioneering the Clarksburg AVA. Now in their 7th generation, they grow many grape varieties in locations all around the Sacramento River delta, all farmed sustainably.
Cellar Notes: We brought in 3 tons. It was destemmed to macrobins for native fermentation. After fermentation the wine was racked to barrel (22% new French oak) with 10% Cabernet Sauvignon for aging. It was bottled unfiltered in July 2025, with small amounts of Carignane & Zinfandel added for complexity.
Tasting Notes: Brimming with dark fruits like blackberry, mission fig & plum. There is a lovely floral & vanilla quality as well. The palate is refreshing, lively & finishes very smoothly.
Pair With: Stuffed portobellos, Ratatouille, Cider-brined pork chop
