Vineyard Notes: The Heringers have been farming in Clarksburg since 1868. In the early 1970’s they were one of the first to plant vineyards on their property, pioneering the Clarksburg AVA. Now in their 7th generation, they grow many grape varieties in many locations in the Sacramento River delta, all farmed sustainably. Tasting Notes: Tempranillo always presents a certain savory quality & this vintage is no slouch in that department. The fruits are bold & black - fig, blackberry, plum - & there is a rich meatiness on the nose. The palate fills with more black fruit, earth & red miso, before finishing clean with velvety tannins.
