Cellar Notes: “Renzo” is our occasional blend inspired by Gina’s late father, who was a home winemaker in South Sacramento. Often, but not always, based on grapes of Italian origin, the wine reflects the rich tradition of home winemakers by showcasing all of the beautiful vineyards around our Sacramento region. This wine puts Zinfandel & Petite Sirah at the forefront, with the other grapes adding nuances of lightness, playfulness & floral aspects.

Tasting Notes: A bold, brash wine, the aromas are mainly of dark fruit - fig, mulberry, macerated cherry - & baking spices, with herbal tarragon & black pepper in the mix as well. The palate is juicy, showing plums, sweet fruit, pie spice & a long, mouth-filling tannic finish.
