Vineyard Notes: The Heringers have been farming in Clarksburg since 1868. In the early 1970’s they were one of the first to plant vineyards on their property, pioneering the Clarksburg AVA. Now in their 7th generation, they grow many grape varieties in locations all around the Sacramento River delta, all farmed sustainably.
Cellar Notes: We brought in 3 tons of fruit for 2021. It was destemmed to macrobins for native fermentation. After fermentation the wine was racked to barrel (12% new American oak) with 10% Carignane for aging. It was bottled unfiltered in May 2024.
Tasting Notes: Brimming with dark fruits like blackberry, currant & dried dragonfruit, this wine has a lot going on. There is a ton of flavor & spice in the aroma - cinnamon, cocoa, chipotle - & a smooth saline character in the palate.
Label: We're paying an ode to Clarksburg with a river boat on the label but it wouldn't be Revolution without fun pops of color and interesting artwork.
Pair With: Stuffed portobellos, Ratatouille, Cider-brined pork chop
