Vineyard Notes: Watts Vineyard was a large, warm vineyard on Lodi’s east side, farmed by Craig Watts. The vineyard was sold after this vintage & the new owners had different plans for the site, so this was our last harvest from the vineyard.

Cellar Notes: We received 8 tons of fruit which was destemmed into a stainless steel tank for fermentation. The dry wine was pressed to neutral barrels.  Before bottling, the wine was racked with a small amount of Tempranillo to help smooth out the palate.

Tasting Notes: The aromatics are full of black fruits - black currant, blackberry - & lean to the herbal side, with eucalyptus, dill & bay leaf all present. The tannins are omnipresent, but fairly mellow, supporting leather & graham cracker qualities.
