This wine is tropical and also floral, with peach & jasmine blossoms competing with Meyer lemon peel for attention.
This wine is no longer available in our tasting room, it is reserved from our library for bottle sales only.
Vineyard Notes: The Terra Alta Vineyard is the 80-acre “home vineyard” of Marcus & Liz Bokisch, where their winery & tasting room are located in the Clements Hills sub-AVA of Lodi. Planted in 2000, it is the first vineyard they planted in the area. The climate is Mediterranean & the soil is a volcanic clay loam. The vineyard is organically farmed.
Cellar Notes: The 2017 Albarino was fermented in stainless steel and after fermentation, the wine was racked to barrel for 3 months to build up the body. While in the barrel, native malolactic fermentation occurred.
Tasting Notes: On the palate it is smooth & saline. There are flavors of white peach, lemon verbena, & a long finish of river rocks & wool.
