Vineyard Notes: Located off of Fiddletown Rd, outside of Plymouth, this vineyard is farmed by Josh & Julie Lyman, whose family has been farming potatoes in Idaho since the late 1800’s. They farm about 260 acres in the foothills, but have only 6 rows of Vermentino, about 2 acres. Sustainably farmed.
Cellar Notes: Nearly 4 tons of grapes were hand-picked by 9am. We destemmed the fruit directly to press & pressed to tank & 1 barrel (11%). The two were racked together in late November for cold stabilization, then filtered before bottling.
Tasting Notes: A very aromatic wine, the 2019 Vermentino delivers big citrus aromas up front, with a fun apple cider note & a slight lingering pine needle quality. The palate is medium-weight, with pomelo, kaffir lime, papaya & mint making for a great jumble of flavors.
