Our 2020 can release features our 2019 Sauvignon Blanc from Linsteadt Vineyards in Amador County. Four-pack of cans, 250mL cans = 1 L of wine total (1.25 bottles of wine!).
Vineyard Notes: Linsteadt Vineyards, Amador County. 33 planted acres make up Linsteadt Vineyards, eight of which are dedicated to Sauvignon Blanc, in the heart of Shenandoah Valley. Linsteadt Vineyards is also sustainably farmed.
Cellar Notes: We harvested two tons of fruit and immediately destemmed and pressed to tank for cold settle for 72 hours. Approximately half the juice was racked to six neutral barrels for fermentation; remaining juice was fermented in stainless steel. After fermentation finished, all the wine was racked to barrels and spontaneously went through malolactic fermentation and were stirred every 3 months. We decided this would be the perfect white for our canned wine program because it is still light and aromatic but is also very mouth-filing; perfect for lounging at home or taking on that hike.
Tasting Notes: The nose on this wine is buoyant with lime, kiwi & tropical fruits blending with herbal notes of bay leaf, savory & citrus blossom. The palate is dense, but playful, with continuing citrus fruits & herbal notes.
Artwork: Our great friends at Lunia Blue designed these amazing can labels with influence coming from Greek mythology and a new wave tattoo style.
